Cairn of Hope
This year we will be adding something special to our treks, you will be bringing a small stone from Ireland in order to build a Cairn of Hope to honour families whose lives have been impacted by EB. This ‘Cairn of Hope’ will hold the DEBRA Ireland flag. Photos will be taken and sent to those families you are honouring. In addition you will receive a thank you letter from families affected with EB. It will be a very special moment for you and for the many people whose lives you will be enhancing by undertaking this great personal challenge.
The Cairn of Hope will act as a lasting symbol of remembrance of those who have past away and hope for a future life free of pain.
We are also looking into an additional option for interested participants to spend a day or two working on a charitable project in memory of all those affected by EB.
