The Robert O’Neill Memorial Golf Classic

The first Robert O’Neill Memorial Classic took place in Woodstock Golf Club on Thursday 10th and Friday 11th of September.  The event was in memory of Robert O’Neill and Rob made sure that the sun shone on both days for everyone who took part.

The 180 golfers who were there enjoyed a fantastic day of golf and attended a wonderful evening celebration in the Bunker Bar at Woodstock Golf Club on the Friday.   Robert’s parents, Derek and Anna and his sister Suzie presented the winning team with the Perpetual Shield.  The winners of the Robert O’Neill Memorial Classic also won a place at the DEBRA Ireland Golf Masters.  It is expected that the event will have raised close to €6,000 for DEBRA Ireland.

DEBRA Ireland would like to thank all those who took part in the event and Jimmie Kelly and Derek O’Neill who were paramount in ensuring the event was a success.  On behalf of the charity, Jimmie and Derek we would like to sincerely thank everyone who supported the event so generously.
