Kerry Challenge 2008

BThe fifth annual Kerry Challenge took place on the 20-22nd June 2008, teams of two and four trekked up to 65km over the three great peninsulas famed for their stunning and diverse scenery.
While torrential rain down pored on participants for most of the weekend, sprits were not dampened and fun was had by all on the hill. It was thanks to this, as well as an infectious determination from all participants, that the experience will remain one to remember. The trek, which weaved through the Kerry Way, Beara and Dingle Peninsulas, tested even the fittest of the 47 teams taking part. But each kilometre was met by spirit and enthusiasm, making for an unbeatable atmosphere.
On behalf of all the staff here at DEBRA Ireland we wish to congratulate all the teams who took part in the challenge and thank them for all their hard work fundraising and training over the previous months.
We would like to extend a special word of thanks to our product sponsors Jaffa Cakes, Lucozade, Tipperary Water and Yakult and all our prize donors and suppliers. Finally DEBRA Ireland would like to sincerely Thank our volunteers Adin Middleton, Shane Connolly and Karl Abbey whose hard work over the weekend helped ensured it was one to remember.
